In this guide, I’ll show you exactly how to get started for free, how to receive payments via PayPal, and how to grow from there.
Step 1: Export Your Beats Properly
Even if you’re using a free plan, your beats need to be ready for sale.

Airbit Free Plan:
- Upload up to 10 beats

⚠️ Important for South African producers:
Neither platform supports local payment gateways like PayFast, Yoco, or EFT.
So you’ll need to receive payments through PayPal.
Step 3: Set Up Your PayPal Account
To sell beats through BeatStars or Airbit, you must link a PayPal account.

- Choose a Personal or Business account
- Link your email and FNB bank account (FNB is the PayPal withdrawal partner in SA)
- Once active, link your PayPal email inside your BeatStars or Airbit dashboard
